Private room in Sugar House bungalow for sublet. Price includes utilities and internet (Google Fiber). Home itself is ~1,500 sq feet, with ~500 of that being the bedroom and bathroom for rent. Your space is private except for the shared laundry area, which I need to access 2-3 times per month, on a day we agree is non-intrusive to your schedule. Bedroom and bathroom (and laundry) is downstairs. Bedroom comes furnished with queen bed and desk. Common areas are all upstairs and include the dining room, living room, kitchen, fenced in back yard with porch and front yard with a second porch. Parking is free on the street. There is a carport in the fenced backyard and also a mud room where storage of bikes, skis and other equipment is encouraged. MUST love dogs! My four-year-old border collie mix has claimed the couch in the living room as hers and the tax for sitting is belly rubs. You aren’t expected to let her into your room (unless you want to!)
I work mostly day shifts, with abut 2 weeks of evenings or night shifts interspersed throughout the year. I’d let you know when those are as I will sleep during the day, and the same courtesy would be extended to you. I work, loosely, 7-12 days on and 4-10 days off. In summer time it’s not unusual I am gone camping with the doggo for part or all of my off service weeks. I am female, and have preference for a quiet and considerate roommate, not of gender.
What makes this home and neighborhood special:
-House is on quiet tree lined street where neighbors frequent to walk their dogs and mornings include elementary kiddos waking to school.
-I love spending time in the yard watching squirrels and birds at the feeders. There is a porch swing in both the front yard and the back yard.
-The landlords live next door, are excellent neighbors, and take fantastic care of the house. Anytime there was an issue with an appliance or other problem it was rectified within hours to days.
-Did I mention the porches?!
-No television in the house.
-Walking distance to 9th and 9th coffee shops, 11th east coffee shops and used bookstores, Liberty park and Sugarhouse House park.
